Scott has been involved with designs for distribution and transmission substations, power plants, cogeneration facilities, and industrial plants over the past 30 years.Â These have included:Â
The first major DME (PRC-002) system at a generation plant inNew England
- Upgrades to protection and control systems – transmission and generation
- AF/C/SC studies and remediation
- Power plant design and upgrades: combined cycle, biomass, landfill gas, cogeneration
- Generator interconnection studies
- Cryogenic reactor control design
- Substations: design, upgrades, additions, and equipment evaluationÂ Â
Not only is Scott capable of designing complex power systems, he has developed electronic and digital control systems, process control logic, communication systems, and has been on the cutting edge of our industry for the past 25 years.
Scott has always been concerned with bringing up the next group of engineers.Â He built and expanded electrical engineering departments at R.W Beck, Greenman Petersen, and Three-C Electrical.Â Not only has he hired and mentored junior engineers, he is presently on the IEEE PES Boston Education Committee.Â Scott has authored and presented papers for IEEE and Doble Engineering to share his insights and experiences.
Scott holds a B.S. and an M.S. in Electric Power Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.Â He is a registered professional engineer in eight states, and is currently the Vice-President of Technical Business Development at Three-C Electrical Company inAshland,MA.Â He is an IEEE Senior Member and has been an IEEE member for over 25 years.
